Farmer’s Market

The Ta’ Qali area is one of the most frequented recreational areas of the island. Although crowded during the weekends, the area is relatively quiet during the week and one can enjoy the open space offered in this area, whilst also visiting the crafts village in the vicinity. A farmers’ market opens on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m at Ta’ Qali, giving farmers an opportunity to sell their produce directly to consumers and consumers to buy the fresh produce cheaper. This market only sells Maltese produce. Around 30 stalls set up. At this market one can also purchase various other locally produced goods, including; Bigilla, Gbejniet, Honey, Brad, Fish and Meat products.

The Sunday open air market offers visitors the opportunity to buy from a number of stalls displaying products which include; vegetables, clothing, toys, tools, household items as well as hand items.
